~It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas~

It's finally beginning to look like Christmas here in Ohio because it snowed. I LOVE snow. I mean, I really love it. Okay....not driving in it when it's icy. But snow, I love. Since I was a kid. So...it has finally snowed here. Finally. And it looks like Christmas~

I decided to count all my packing slips to figure out how many orders I had filled. I knew it was a lot. But I was stunned: I sent out 264 packages since Thanksgiving Weekend. Considering that I make each item or items IN those packages....that's a LOT. The orders are still trickling in....but hopefully, the end is near. I have to laugh at the emails I get, with questions of: "When will I get this?" (they don't bother to tell me WHERE they live!!) Even with shipping within 24 hours, they still insist I tell them exactly when the good ol' USPS will deliver their treasures to their mailboxes. (if I could predict that....I wouldn't be making dolls and jewelry!)

At least t
hat explains my fatigue, and the reason I'm mainlining caffeine in any shape or form: coffee, lattes, chocolate, Excedrin, Diet Coke, more chocolate.....

I've finished baking cookies: Snowballs, Peanut Butter Blossoms, Italian Iced Cookies, Thumbprints, Date Squares, Coconut Bars, Hello Dollies, Spritz Cookies, Rum Balls and Decorated Sugar Cookies. Phew! Over 40 dozen cookies. Jim asked last nite why I bake so much every Christmas. Why? My mother did. Always. For the three of us kids. So when I became a mother....I did, too. Always. And now as a grandma...I still do. And always will~

I'm off to see Mom. I'm bringing Christmas cookies. Made from her recipes. Just like she made. Always.

Happy Thursday~

I am so envious of you. Your cookies look yummy and I know that they taste yummy too. I haven't made one yet! Hoping to remedy that tonight. When I read about the snow I immediately thought of Dan and how excited he would get when it snowed. Even flurries.

Love, Kay

Oh, the snow looks so beautiful. I wish it snowed more around here. We usually get the ice not too much snow.

You have been QUITE busy. That is a lot of handmade cuties that you have sent out.

WOW that is a lot of baking. I just think it is so neat when people go all out with their Christmas cookies and baking. I think your Mom is going to enjoy those cookies....she might even think she made them. Hope you have a good visit with her.♥

Carol-
Whew! Over 450 cookies, and more than 200 Etsy orders----you're a one-woman army of elves! The house lights beaming out from the snow in your photo look so warm and inviting. Take a moment just for you and cuddle up with one of those cookies and a cup of something hot while you watch the flakes fall, y'hear?
Love you-
Kathi

Wouldn't it be fun to have a cookie exchange? We could all share family favorites ..... ahhhhh, I love to dream! Now, take some rest-time for YOU! Surely, the Etsy orders are slowing down a tad! Enjoy the holidays, the puppies, your wonderful hubby, the snow, the caffeine and a cookie!
Hugs, Marci

That's a lot of baking for one person to do! I'm so glad you visited me so I could find you. You have a beautiful blog! And now snow. We don't see stuff like that often in Texas.

Carol, I fear that you're making the rest of us look like a bunch of slackers. Pace yourself, girlfriend! I know, I know...you're loving every minute, and for that, I'm truly glad. Speaking of shipping, how do you think some of that snow would ship to SW Florida? You know I'm jealous.....

Beautiful photographs! Wow, I just saw your 7 days to Christmas counter and was shocked. I haven't really even begun to think about Christmas yet. Mom gave me fruit cake, nut roll and prune roll to take home last night. Your blog made me so very grateful for those stolen visits with her.

Carol, since you're baking enough for both of us, I'm off the hook this year. :) Wish I could stop by for one of your cookies, a chat and enjoy your beautiful scenery. Here in Sacramento it's clear, cold and windy - my least favorite weather. (The last time it snowed here was 1974.) But since that's my biggest problem today, I am feeling blessed.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a restful January!

Big hug!!!
